| We feed our Pugs the best diet we can find. I have researched hundreds of hours, trying to find what works best. We highly recommend you keep your puppy on the same food we have been feeding it. I am about to earn my canine nutrition degree, and I would be happy to help and answer any questions you may have! If a RAW diet is not for you, I would be happy to recommend an all-natural, grain-free kibble. We feed our dogs twice a day. We do NOT free-feed, because Pugs tend to become obese if given the chance to eat all they wish. We feed a raw, species appropriate diet. What does this mean? Basically, we feed raw, unprocessed, all natural MEAT to our dogs. Their diet consists primarily of chicken, but we do feed turkey, beef, pork, venison, goose, rabbit, squirrel, and fish. We prefer that nothing processed, dried, sprayed, and treated such as commercial kibble be fed to our babies. Feeding a raw diet is NOT easier or cheaper than feeding commercially processed kibble. We will never claim that it is. But it is better for your dogs. Did you know that most commercial kibble is over 50% carbohydrates? That is the equivalent to potato chips! We recommend the following raw feeding sites. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail and I will help you learn to feed your dogs a raw diet. http://rawfed.com/myths/ http://www.rawlearning.com/ http://rawfed.com/vax/vax.html http://www.minden.com/nowhereelse/raw.htm |
